A complete marketing foundation, built end to end for roughly a third of agency cost

From ICP and messaging to a full brand system, sales enablement, and a custom portal built with AI. One engagement, delivered end to end, for roughly a third of what an agency would charge.

The outcome, up front

Priority Financial Group (PFG) had a real wealth offering and real distribution through partner institutions, but no marketing foundation underneath it.

I built that foundation end to end: the ideal customer and messaging system, a full brand system, a measurement plan, sales enablement for their relationship managers, prospecting tools to win more institutions, and Connected Wealth, a custom portal that lets each partner institution market wealth in its own brand.

A comparable agency program would run well into six figures. This engagement delivered all of it for roughly a third of that, with the AI-built portal and asset library landing at about a tenth of what an agency would charge for that piece alone. PFG owns and runs the whole system.

The problem this had to solve

In many financial institutions, wealth management is treated as an afterthought. The revenue is real, but lending and deposits get the attention. That is a costly place to leave it. When a member or customer moves their investments to an outside firm, the rest of the relationship tends to follow: the checking account, the mortgage, the loan. Whoever holds the wealth eventually competes for everything else. Wealth is a defense of the relationship the institution already worked to earn.

PFG sits inside those institutions and powers their wealth programs. The offering was strong and the distribution was real. The opportunity was to build the marketing foundation that could scale it: a clear picture of exactly who PFG serves and the story that carries it, a brand system built to flex across every institution, relationship managers equipped for the conversations they were already having, partner institutions able to market wealth in their own brand, and a way to bring on the next institution. PFG had built the substance. This engagement built the foundation that turns a strong offering into repeatable growth.

What was built

I built the foundation as one system, in the order the work has to happen. Each layer makes the next one possible.

1. Strategy: the customer, and the story

Before any design or copy, the engagement defined PFG's ideal customer and built the messaging system: the positioning, the language, and the story every asset and every conversation would carry. Everything downstream is built on this.

2. A full brand system

PFG came in with two colours and a single logo. I extended that into a complete brand system: a full colour palette, an imagery direction, and an illustration style, documented so it holds across every institution and every format.

3. Sales enablement and prospecting

The relationship managers needed something to carry into conversations, and PFG needed a way to win the next institution. Both draw from the same messaging system built in the first step, so the story holds no matter who is telling it or where it shows up: a sales conversation, a prospecting deck, or the assets a partner institution shares with its own members and customers. The engagement produced enablement materials that put that consistent story in the relationship managers' hands, and prospecting decks built to bring on more partner institutions.

4. A measurement plan

A plan for what to track, so the program can be judged on results rather than activity, and so PFG can see what is working as it rolls out.

5. Connected Wealth: the portal and asset library

The delivery layer. A custom portal that lets each partner institution generate marketing materials in its own brand, drawing from a full asset library. This is the piece an institution with no marketing capacity could never build on its own.

6. SOPs for deployment

Documented standard operating procedures so PFG's own team runs the entire system without me. The foundation stays after the engagement ends.

Inside Connected Wealth

Connected Wealth is one system with two sides. On the administration side, adding a partner institution takes a few inputs: a name, a website, a clean logo, and the institution's compliance disclosures. The system generates that institution's own private portal, its credentials, and a unique link. Everything it downloads from then on carries its brand and its disclosure language automatically. On the institution side, whoever handles marketing logs in with a short code, chooses what they need, and the system builds it in their brand: ready-to-post social content, a full website copy package, and print-ready branch materials. A trail records what was taken, so the program can be measured rather than guessed at.

This is where AI changed the economics. Two people did the hands-on production under my direction, one designer and one developer. AI carried the heavy lifting: the asset library and the illustration system on the design side, and the portal itself, built and refined in an AI coding environment on a secure stack PFG owns rather than a rented, locked-down platform. Work an agency staffs with a team over the better part of a year was produced by two senior-directed people in weeks.

What it would have cost

Priced the traditional way, this is a stack of invoices: brand strategy, a full identity system, a custom multi-tenant portal, an asset library, a measurement plan, sales enablement, prospecting decks, and deployment documentation, each its own line. At a senior-led financial-services agency, an equivalent program runs well into six figures. This engagement delivered the same scope for roughly a third of that.

The part that matters most in financial services

AI did not run unsupervised, and that is the whole point. Every asset and every line of disclosure passed human review and PFG's own compliance process before anything went live. AI set the pace. Judgment set the standard. That control layer is what makes moving quickly safe in a regulated category.

In financial services, trust is the product.
Everything else is delivery.

Where it stands

Connected Wealth is live. Partner institutions log in and pull branded, compliant materials on their own, and PFG's team runs the full system from the SOPs built into the engagement. The foundation, from strategy through brand, enablement, and measurement, is in place and in use.

If you have been quoted agency prices for the foundation you need

The marketing foundation that used to demand an agency budget and the better part of a year can now be built by a small, senior-directed team in weeks, for a fraction of the price, without giving up quality or compliance. Strategy and judgment decide what gets built. AI makes it economical to build. If that decision is in front of you, let's talk about what the leaner path looks like for your business.

Growth built on systems compounds. Growth built on effort resets.
